debian LXDE lxhotkeys add shortcut / hotkey: SUSPEND (2022)

what we want:
assign a shortcut to a key, such as f1 (or any other), or key-combination like ALT + something, to the command: suspend

|| the way to do it:

go menu: preferences / Setup HOt Keys

then add (or modify one),

but the point is:  execute, and the command you want to be executed is not "suspend" but "systemctl suspend"

& don't forget to save it in the end...

..........................................

the steps in detail:

• "create new action"   (small window opens)

///

in the small window:

• "press a hotkey" (press "Hotkey 1" and then press a hot key which you want to use)

• "add an action"

• select from the dropdown: "Execute"

• press "Apply"

• click on "Execute" (select / make it active / highlighted)

• press (top right) "Add an option to selection"

• write (in the value field) "systemctl suspend"

• press "Apply"

• press "Accept changes" (top let, next to red X button)

///

back in the MAIN WINDOW again:

• press "save" icon...

..........................................

Now you can test your new hotkey,

NO need to reboot for this to take effect

PS:
this same thing is way easier in GNOME DE, such as Cinnamon
